Hamaka Parade 2014

Hi everyone! Finally.. I'm blogging again. Hahaha!

Here's a photo diary of the Hamaka Parade in Taytay, Rizal. Taytay is the Woodworks and Garments Capital Of the Philippines. (I am from Taytay btw! :) ) Every February, Taytayeños celebrate Araw ng Pasasalamat or thanksgiving day. This happened Saturday which is the "bisperas" of the Araw ng Pasasalamat/Thanksgiving Day. I, together my churchmates, participated on this year's parade. Kahit mainit, gora pa din! Enjoy!

Youth JiGS' float | Do you feel the youth vibes? I feel it kasi e. It's made of tansan.

My friends (slash) family. Hihi.

Yes. That's me, Kuya Awayt(the guy beside me) and the puppeteers at the back . :) I stayed on top of the truck. Hihihi. Di naman po ako nahulog, mabagal lang naman yung andar.

There were lots of "banda(s)" pero di ko nacapture kasi kasama nga kami sa parade.

Cutie kids

  2. Looks like lots of fun! I don't think I've ever been to Taytay, it's pretty far from where I stay. And I didn't know that it's known as the garments capital of the Philippines either! Learned something new today :)

  4. I am not so fond of this kind of event. But it seems like the crowd is enjoying it so much.
